What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that visited websites send to the user's device, where they are stored and sent back to the same sites on the next visit. Similar technologies, such as the browser's localStorage, serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy in the same way.

Cookies used by this website

This website is intentionally minimal: it uses no profiling cookies, installs no Google Analytics or other statistics or marketing tools, carries no advertising and does not track users' browsing. The only active tools are the technical ones described below.

For this reason the banner shown on your first visit does not ask for consent: it is simply a notice. As there are no cookies other than technical ones, there is nothing to accept or reject.

Technical cookies and storage (always active)

Site language — a technical cookie named “NEXT_LOCALE” stores the language you are browsing in (Italian or English), so it can be offered again on your next visit. It is set by this site, cannot be read by third parties and holds no identifying data.

Notice acknowledgement — the confirmation that you have read the banner is saved in a technical storage area of your browser (localStorage), under the key “bettolina-cookie-consent-v1”. This data stays on your device, is not sent to anyone and serves only to avoid showing you the banner on every visit.

Being strictly necessary to provide the requested service, under Article 122 of the Italian Privacy Code these tools do not require your consent.

No embedded third-party content

The site embeds no maps, videos, social widgets, share buttons or other content loaded from external servers. As a result, no third party is able to set cookies or collect data about your browsing while you are on these pages.

The typefaces used in the design are served directly from our own domain, as they are copied onto the server at build time: displaying them involves no connection to Google Fonts or any other external provider.

Links to external sites

The site contains links to external platforms: the restaurant's social profiles (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), WhatsApp for enquiries, the review pages on Google and Tripadvisor, and the website of the studio that built these pages.

These are plain links: nothing is loaded until you click them. Once you open them you leave this site, and your data is processed according to the privacy policies of those platforms, over which we have no control.

Server logs

As with any website, the infrastructure hosting these pages may automatically record access data (IP address, date and time of the request, page requested, browser type) in log files. This data is processed solely to ensure the security and correct operation of the service, on the basis of the Controller's legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f GDPR), and is kept only for as long as strictly necessary for those purposes. It is not used to identify users, nor combined with other information.

How to delete or block cookies

You can delete already-installed cookies and block new ones at any time through your browser settings, usually under “Privacy” or “Security”. Clearing the site data will also remove the record of your acknowledgement: the notice will reappear on your next visit.

Blocking technical cookies does not prevent you from browsing the site, but your chosen language may not be remembered.

Your rights

As a data subject you may exercise the rights set out in Articles 15-22 GDPR (access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability) by writing to the Controller at the contact details given at the bottom of this page. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).

Changes to this policy

Should the site introduce tools that involve non-technical cookies in the future, this policy will be updated and your prior consent will be requested before such tools are activated.
